Via Arte, the 8th Annual Italian Street Painting Festival sponsored by the Bakersfield Museum of Art, was held this past weekend, October 14 and 15 at The Marketplace in southwest Bakersfield. Despite heavy rains the day before, over 200 professional and student artists worked October 14 and 15 to complete the street art. The event draws thousands of area residents each year. The event raises funds for the Bakersfield Museum of Art’s education programs.
